Handcrafted Barbershop opened in the winter of 2014 at 1215 West Grand Avenue. That first location was the main address in a century old building on Grand Avenue in the West Town neighborhood. Long hours and late nights went into the planning and build out of the shop transforming it from an open, empty room to a functioning lived in space that saw thousands of cuts, numerous parties, events and was the location for multiple commercial filming projects. In the spring of 2022 Handcrafted Barbershop moved to its current location, three doors down from the original at 1223 West Grand Avenue. The new locations building was no different in the time and attention spent on getting it fit for operation. From the color of the walls, to the honed slate counter top. The flat files to hold our tools, the handmade eagle crests at each station.. forethought and attention was paid to every detail.

We have five of Chicago's best barbers available by appointment only so you don't have to wait. Arrive early to find parking and have a beer, coffee or coke before your appointment. There's free parking on the south side of Hubbard and metered spots on Grand. If you're taking the train, we're a ten minute walk west from the Grand Avenue Blue Line station. We are a cash only shop, with a Byline Bank / ATM on the northwest side of the Grand Ogden intersection. The door is marked and directly to the left of the Move Along Coffee window.
